Individual Therapy
People seek counseling for various reasons. Sometimes people come to counseling because of major changes in life including: experiencing a traumatic event, loss of a relationship or loved one, adjusting to a new place, change in health, etc. Other times, people are tired of dealing with chronic experiences such as: feeling depressed or anxious, relationship difficulties, chronic pain, lack of purpose, feeling insecure, struggles related to food or eating, or simply not feeling your best. These are just a few things that may lead you to counseling. All of the experiences I mentioned are natural, and most people go through some of these things at some point in their life. Seeking support is a healthy way to get through difficult experiences as well as improve how you cope and deal with difficult feelings.
Therapy is a collaborative process. You bring an intimate knowledge of yourself, while I bring compassion, challenge, and an expertise in effective treatment methods. Concerns that often show up in my practice include:
- Depression
- Relationship concerns
- Trauma
- Sexual Concerns
- Anxiety, panic, & OCD
- Men’s issues
- Eating and Weight struggles
- Drug and alcohol issues
Please contact me if you’re considering seeing a therapist. I’d be happy to talk with you about how it may be helpful.
